중국 최고의 사물인터넷(IoT) 행사인 2021 세계사물인터넷박람회가 지난달 25일 중국 장쑤성 우시시에서 막을 내렸다.
3일간의 행사에는 정상회담, 최신 사물인터넷 애플리케이션 및 제품을 전시하는 전시회, 5G, 빅데이터, 지능형 교통과 같은 주제에 초점을 맞춘 10개의 포럼이 포함되었다.
왕즈쥔 산업정보부 부부장은 이번 정상회담에서 사물인터넷(IoT) 산업이 2020년 말까지 2조4000억 위안(약 3천758억 원)을 넘어서는 등 중국 디지털경제 발전의 핵심 산업으로 자리매김했다고 밝혔다.
"IoT 도시"로 불리는 우시시는 현재 3,000개 이상의 IoT 관련 회사를 가지고 있으며, IoT 국제 표준의 절반 이상을 형성하고 있다.

The 2021 World Internet of Things (IoT) Exposition, China's top IoT event, wrapped up on Monday in the city of Wuxi, east China's Jiangsu Province.
The three-day event included a summit, an exhibition featuring the latest IoT applications and products, and 10 forums focusing on themes like 5G, big data and intelligent transportation.
The IoT industry has become one of the key industries for the development of the digital economy in China, with its scale exceeding 2.4 trillion yuan (375.8 billion U.S. dollars) by the end of 2020, Wang Zhijun, vice minister of industry and information technology, said at the summit.
Dubbed an "IoT city," Wuxi currently has more than 3,000 IoT-related companies, and leads the formulation of over half of the IoT international standards.
