아프리카 연합(AU)은 서아프리카 기니가 군사 쿠데타에 휩싸인 후 기니의 회원국 자격을 정지했다.
AU 정치 평화 안보 위원회의 트윗에 따르면 AU 평화 안보 이사회는 10일(금) 서아프리카 기니를 연합의 모든 활동에서 배제하기로 결정했다고 밝혔다.
서아프리카 국가 경제 공동체(ECOWAS)도 9일(목) 서아프리카 지역 블록에서 기니의 회원 자격을 정지시켰다.
AU 평화 및 안전 이사회는 ECOWAS의 결정을 승인했다고 밝혔으며, AU 평화 및 안전 이사회는 UN 안전보장이사회에 ECOWAS가 기니의 회원국 자격을 정지시킨 ECOWAS 선언을 승인할 것을 촉구했다. 또한 AU 위원회의 의장인 Moussa Faki Mahamat에게 이 상황에 대해 지역의 모든 이해 관계자를 참여시킬 것을 요청했다.
한편 Doumbouya 중령은 12일(일) 그의 군대가 기니의 대통령 Alpha Conde를 체포하고 정부와 국가 기관을 해산했다고 발표했다.

The African Union (AU) has suspended the membership of Guinea after the West African nation had been gripped by a military coup.
The peace and security council of AU on Friday decided to suspend the West African nation from all activities of the Union, according to the tweet by the AU political affairs, peace and security commission.
The Economic Community for Western African States (ECOWAS) on Thursday suspended Guinea's membership of the West African regional bloc.
Stating that it has endorsed the decision by ECOWAS, the AU peace and security council has called on the UN Security Council to endorse the communique of ECOWAS by which the bloc has suspended Guinea's membership. It has also called on the Chairperson of the AU Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat to engage all stakeholders in the region on the situation.
On Sunday, Mamady Doumbouya, a lieutenant colonel, announced that his forces arrested Guinea's President Alpha Conde and dissolved the government and national institutions.
