On April 19, 2011, a young lady debuted as a six-member girl group and appeared to the public for the very first time. After debut, she has been keeping up with her diligent work and participating in writing lyrics for many popular songs such as 'April 19', 'Wanna Be', and 'I love every moment of you', which also showed her talented side as a lyricist. Besides, she was also surprising everyone with her potential as being an entertainer by creating her own character in several entertainment programs such as 'Birth of a Family'. Not stop there, she continued proving herself to be a dynamic artist by taking a role as a female lead in dramas 'Nine Boys' and 'Special Law on Romance'. Recently, with the role of 'Yuri' in the movie 'Bad Family', she garnered many positive reviews from the public for her improving acting skills.

Yes, she is 'Park Cho-Rong', the leader and sub-vocal of the 11-year girl group Apink. On July 2nd, she was selected as one of the official ambassadors for Campaign FF, co-hosted by the Korea Social Contribution Association & Dong-A Ilbo and sponsored by Public News. This campaign aims at bringing the matter of abandoned animals to public's attention by organizing activities contributed to the societies. Campaign FF stands for 'Forever Friends For Friends'. Its meaning is a pledge to not abandon but rescue animals as they are called to be humans' eternal friends.

Public News interviewed Park Cho-Rong, an influencer and member of Apink who wishes to start a new challenge with 'Influencer Social Responsibility (ISR)' through social activities. <Editor's Note>

Q. Please say hello to your fans.

Apink Park Cho-Rong> Hello. I am Park Cho-Rong, debuted as a member of the girl group Apink, an actor, lyricist, and influencer. I am always grateful to the fans. It is so nice to meet you all.

Q. I know that you have been secretly volunteering at animal sheflters frequently. What motivated you to do it?

Apink Park Cho-Rong> From the past, we have known the need for protection and prevention of abandoned animals through various media platforms. However, my mind was noticing it but I did not know what to do to help in the kind of situations. Therefore, I began to volunteer to help at animal shelfters with the thought, 'Let's at least proceed with an action, even a small one.' Now, my heart feels so warm and healed whenever I meet these friends. I am so thankful for them.

Q. I heard that you are currently temporarily protecting abandoned animals. Can you share with us more about the process?

Apink Park Cho-Rong> A year ago, I received a message from a male member of the group, asking, 'we found an animal that was abandoned, is there anyone can take care of it temporarily?' At that time, I just wanted to be of some help so I did not think much about it and quickly offered a temporary protection. That's how it started, and after that, I took two other temporary protections.

Q. Please tell us your personal thoughts on abandoned animals.

Apink Park Cho-Rong> While taking care of abandoned animals, I felt so happy that I was able to help these furry friends. I was so grateful to have an opportunity to give them much comfort and love as a family. They are lovely and affectionate kids who can always be a wonderful part of a family.

Q. Recently, you were appointed as the official ambassador for the campaign to promote awareness of abandoned animals. Why did you decide to participate?

Apink Park Cho-Rong> While temporarily sharing a home with these furry kids, I realized that helping abandoned animals does not require any big work. I felt that 'anyone can help these friends with just a little interest in heart'. With this as a terrific opportunity, I decided to participate in Campaign FF to bring more attentions about abandoned animals to as many people as I possibly can.

Q. As the Campaign FF official ambassador, is there anything you would like to say?

Apink Park Cho-Rong> We need so many help from everybody so that abandoned animals will never be an existing issue anymore. No matter how many campaigns and volunteer work organized to help abandoned animals, I don't think it will resolve the issue if people are not aware of it and continue ignoring them.

Please do not shop your pets but let's adopt them. And please adopt considerately.

Q. Lastly, please share with your fans about your future plans.

Apink Park Cho-Rong> We are certainly thinking about team activities and various other activities as well. I sincerely thank the fans for always supporting and sending me so much unchanging love that give me resilience during difficult times.
